Music Plays a vital role in the total ministry of Nixa First Assembly of God. Nixa First Assembly is known as a worshipping church. In every service our goal is to create an atmosphere that draws people into the presence of the Lord, allowing Him to minister to the needs in their lives. Music Ministry Opportunities
Last May the Sanctuary Choir recorded their first CD! The CD was written and produced by Geron Davis and the Choir debuted the CD on November 12. If you would like to purchase your copy click here.
Sanctuary Choir:
The primary focus of the sanctuary choir is to assist in leading our church in worship in Sunday services, special services, and outside opportunities. Anyone may join by attending rehearsals on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 5:00 pm.
Praise & Worship Team:
The praise and worship team consists of six singers who directly assist the worship leader in Sunday services. All praise and worship singers are selected from active chior members. The opportunity to be a part of the Wednesday night praise and worship team is available by audition.
Praise & Worship Band:
The praise & worship band's role is to accompany the worship leader in all services. The opportunity to be a part of the Wednesday night praise and worship team is available by audition only.
"Redeemer" Easter Pageant:
One of the most well-known outreaches of Nixa First Assembly is our Easter Pageant, "Redeemer". This full-life passion play of the life, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus take place on Easter weekend. There are numerous areas for ministry involvement in this production including music, drama, art, construction, and technical. The invitation is given at the first of every year for all who would like to participate.
"The Refuge" Praise & Worship Band:
Our worship is the foundational part of each service. We believe that as we worship Jesus with all our hearts, anything that God wants to do he is able to do! We enjoy dynamic praise and worship in every service, and love to watch what God is doing in the hearts and lives of the youth as they give their lives to him.
Children's Praise & Worship:
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it" Proverbs 22:6. At Nixa First Assembly we are training up children to have a heart of worship.
